The RCF is pleased to announce it has donated £2,000 to the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB).
The RSGB is working with the schools involved with the Tim Peake ISS contacts to provide pupils with some background to radio communications, the highlight of which is the opportunity to build, and take away, a radio (under supervision).
Interest in this is exceeding expectations and more kits are being requested then are available.
This donation will be used to purchase some of the additional kits.
This draws upon the experience of the well-established Bath Buildathon managed by RCF trustee Steve Hartley, G0FUW.
